BOONVILLE — Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center, 106 Schuyler St., will host the Children’s Health & Safety Day and Mobile Mammography Unit during the Best of Boonville celebration on June 5.
During the annual Best of Boonville Festival, Dodge Pratt Northam Art and Community Center and Erwin Library will host Upstate University Hospital’s Mammography Van between 10 a.m and 3 p.m. in the Erwin Library/DPN parking lot. It will be held in conjunction with children’s summer health and safety activities on the lawn at the center.

To be eligible, women should be age 40 or older; have not had a mammogram within the last 12 months; and not be experiencing breast problems. The mammography van is equipped with a state-of-the-art 3D digital mammogram system, private exam and dressing room, and waiting room. For more information, contact Wendy Hunt at 315-492-3353.
In conjunction with the mobile mammography unit, the center will also host a Children’s Summer Health and Safety Expo. There will be activities for youth with a focus on sun safety, bicycle safety, safe outdoor activities and simple games to keep kids active over the summer. In addition to fun, hands-on, art and science activity stations at the event, participants will go home with goody bags with tools, supplies, and activities for a safe and healthy summer, while supplies last.
The center will host its annual Best of Boonville Art Show. Local residents are encouraged to come enjoy the talents of area artists, featuring paintings, photography, and other media. Those interested in entering a work into the invitational show, should contact the center at 315-942-5133.
