Friday night lights are back this week, but the only thing that will happen on the football field will be the diplomas.
Taylor, Thrall and Granger High Schools will hold graduation ceremonies on May 28th. Events will be face-to-face with some online streaming options available.
Granger High School seniors will be the first to participate early that night. The Taylor ISD Event Center, 3101 N. Main St., in Taylor, will host the GHS ceremony at 7 p.m.
The Taylor High School ceremony will be at 7:30 p.m. at Duck Pond Stadium, located on the southwest edge of the city, on 355 FM 973 behind the high school, at 7:30 p.m. The event will be played on Taylor Press ’Facebook page at http://www.taylorpress.net/gotaylortx.
Tiger Stadium will be the place where Thrall High School will graduate at 8 p.m. The ceremony will be in person at the stadium, 201 S. Bounds St., in Thrall, next to the institute, and can also be heard on a Thrall ISD YouTube channel to be determined. Legacy Early College High School was the first of Williamson County’s high schools to hold graduation ceremonies when its seniors walked the stage at the Taylor ISD Event Center. .
