We see a doctor as soon as our health shows signs of decline. The same can be said of our mental health: as stigmas about vulnerability have begun to erode in recent years, many of us feel comfortable visiting a counselor if we have problems. And rightly so. No one has the tools to manage everything life throws at us, so hiring an expert is a decision that will pay dividends.
So why do we leave our sex life and our relationship relationship to chance? Too often, we may resign ourselves to having sex and unsatisfactory relationships trapped in recurring patterns of dysfunction. It doesn’t have to be that way. That’s why we decided to conclude the first season of our “Ask Men’s Health” podcast with a visit to renowned sex and relationships expert Dr. Sydney Nikkki Goldstein.
Whether you have a honeymoon relationship or have started dating, or have been out of the game for a while – we all need assistance from time to time and it’s best to look for it now before it’s too late.
With the help of Dr. Nikki, we cover from communication (AKA, the basis of any relationship); how we can improve in the practice of consent; the importance of setting boundaries (both inside and outside the bedroom); and what impact mental health has on our libido. Sex toys are discussed and we talk about Dr. Nikki about how COVID affected the way we had sex.
In other words, it’s worth listening to. We’re not going to go so far as to say that if you decide to skip this one, you’ll be destined for ten years of bad sex, but it doesn’t look good. You have been warned.
