Guests wishing to visit an Evanston pizzeria without a mask must show their COVID-19 vaccination card and identification.
In a message posted on his Instagram page, Union Pizza, 1245 Chicago Ave., announced that it will implement new gastronomic protocols after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a revised mask guide on Thursday.
Vaccinated people should not be required to wear masks in indoor and outdoor settings, with exceptions, the agency said.
The pizzeria explained that a mask will be needed for those who do not have the vaccination card or ID. These individuals will be required to wear a mask when not sitting at the table.
