KKR has announced that it has closed the acquisition of a majority stake in therapeutic brands.
Therapy Brands, based in Birmingham, Alabama, is a practice management software platform and electronic health records for mental, behavioral, substance use recovery, applied behavior analysis, and physical rehabilitation health care providers. Founded in 2013, the company supports more than 28,000 internships in the United States.
Kohlberg’s PE platform Kravis Roberts (KKR) & Co., based in New York, considers investments in all industries, including healthcare. Founded in 1976, the company prefers to invest in a wide range of public debt and equity investments and can co-invest, seeking a controlling ownership of a company or a strategic minority position.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
