There’s no doubt about it: Steelo Brim knows how to rock a good outfit. The 32-year-old host and producer of MTV’s Ridiculousness—who also co-hosts the podcast Wine and Weed—is no stranger to flexing his style, even when it comes to his workout routines. And just in case you needed further proof, the Hollywood star uses a sleek black Louis Vuitton duffel for his fitness essentials. Between his filming schedule, recording sessions and workouts, Brim sat down to give us the low-down on what he always keeps in his gym bag.
“I try to work out at least three times a week,” Brim says of his fitness schedule. “I just want a real chest. I’m finally starting to see real improvement. That’s really my only training goal.”
The first thing Brim lists as a must-have in his gym bag is a fresh pair of socks, which we can all agree are an undeniable essential. “I always keep two pairs,” he shares. “One for the actual workout and one for right after.” And with that in mind, it’s clear Brim knows how to start off strong.
Next up is another workout wardrobe staple: leggings. “I’m a big, big fan of leggings, you know what I’m saying? They keep everything together, I’ll start with that,” he explains. He adds that his second reason is they allow you to get more of a workout in. “They get the sweat along the way; they keep your legs warm.” Brim will also layer a pair of eye-catching shorts over his leggings, sharing that he likes to add a touch of style to his fitness routines.
As a self-proclaimed sneakerhead, it only seems fitting that Brim keeps a pair of Jordan 9s in his gym bag. “I do everything in my sneakers. I will work out in a real-life outfit, I will go to the club. You will catch me actually using the shoes.”
Adding to his sartorial roundup, Brim showcases a vintage tee, one of many in his collection. “These shirts have traveled and lived their own lives. It’s kind of cool to think about,” he explains. Rounding out the selection is a classic snapback, which the actor will throw on during his workouts.
If there’s one thing to take away from Brim’s gym bag staples, it’s that he does everything—from pumping iron at the gym to a night out with his crew—in style.
