The St. Louis County Department of Health Clair recently announced that he will be moving COVID-19 vaccines and test appointments to the health department’s main office and Teen Health Center starting June 1st.
From May 24, appointments can be scheduled automatically at the main office location by calling the health department at 810-987-5300 or the COVID-19 information line a 810-966-4163 or scchealth.co visitor. Vaccine selections will include Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. For appointments at the Teen Health Center, call 810-987-1311.
People 12 and older can schedule COVID-19 vaccination appointments Monday through Thursday at the main office, while people ages 12 to 21 can also schedule vaccination appointments Monday through Thursday at the Teen Health Center.
COVID-19 test appointments will be offered Monday through Friday at both locations.
“We felt June 1 was the right time to move these services to the health department,” said Dr. Annette Mercatante, St. Louis County Medical Officer. Clair, in a recent press release. “We’ve been to our Marysville testing and vaccination clinics for months, and as demand changes, we can now offer these appointments at our own facilities.”
The county’s online pre-registration system was scheduled to end on May 21st.
“The pre-registration system (Everbridge) is not necessary as it was,” Mercatante said. “More than 30,000 individuals used this system and while it wasn’t perfect, it helped meet the needs / demands of the public when the vaccine launch was at its peak. We moved to an online dating system that self -program, which will be available on our website or people can call to make an appointment.
SCCHD’s head office is located at 3415 28th St. in Port Huron and the Teen Health Center is located at 2215 Court St. in Port Huron.
